Leelanau County cannot handle 2,400 bicyclists riding all over the county on roads closed to other traffic, as the Ironman race organizers have planned, without our townships’ approval.

But this time it’s different. Deb and I are preparing to sell the Leelanau Enterprise. The closing date is early tomorrow morning, a time we picked because of what it takes to put out the Enterprise every week.

She was 100.

Chris was born September 16, 1949 in Traverse City, the son of Steiner Sr. and Sigwalda (Nelson) Garthe.
