Steve Wetherbee won the election. However, a picture of his nephew, Northport School Superintendent Neil Wetherbee incorrectly ran with the story.

A Service of Remembrance was held Sunday, Nov.11 for Andy Stephen Zywicki who died Oct. 27 at home in Winnsboro, La.

He was 71.

Andy was born May 31, 1947 in Cedar, the son of John and Theresa Zywicki. He served in the U.S. Army as a military policeman and worked for Delta Airlines for 36 years.

Lenora was born on June 4, 1939 in Muskegon, the daughter of Riley and Hilda (Harper) Botruff. On April 7, 1957, also in Muskegon, she married Kyran J. Gilland, who survives.

Council appoints trustee

The Council voted 5-2 Thursday, with Trustees Chris Frey and Soni Aylsworth opposed, to appoint Tom Rademacher to replace Trustee Teresa Howes, who submitted her resignation that day.
