Northport holds floodplain meeting

A special meeting was scheduled for yesterday for the Village of Northport to put its stamp of approval on an updated flood plain management plan, according to village administrator Barb Von Voigtlander.

The special meeting was necessary, Von Voigtlander said, to meet state and federal deadlines.

911 call connected to accident and arrest

A 60-year-old woman from Cedar will likely face drunk driving charges after she was injured Saturday in a single-car accident.

The county Dispatch Center received a tip that an intoxicated female had just driven away from a residence on E. Gauthier Rd. in a gray Chevrolet SUV. Apparently there had been an argument at the residence prior to the female leaving, it was learned.
